Formed in Tainan in 2008, Bugs of Phonon is a post-rock band composed of guitarists Ko Chih-ming and Lu Luming, bassist Chiu Hsin-feng, and drummer Gan Wei-jun. Their music is sometimes tranquil and serene, while at times being violent like a coming storm. Unitizing their matured songwriting and arrangement skills, with an abundance of Pizzicato, feedback loops, and other sounds making for a massive soundscape, they are able to lead their listeners on fantastic journeys and bear witness to the layered landscapes hidden within the band’s sounds. Bugs of Phonon convey their sounds quietly with certainty, while the notes turn into verses, lingering in one’s ears and pounding at the heart.2008 First demo “L003” released. The band’s second release, the EP titled “the nation what we saw” was released in 2010 to much fanfare and critical acclaim.
