Feature Films: Time Loop With the Moon, unfolding an endless loop of time, travels back to the day when the protagonist’s close friend committed suicide 20 years ago. On the Fringe depicts a same-sex romance among gang members. In Beast, the idea of “an eye for an eye” is explored. Is it an act of justice or lynching activated by personal interest? Tell Me How You Died questions the so-called “filial piety”. Is it a carefully-fabricated myth, or a cage formed by moral and emotional blackmailing?
Feature-length documentaries: MOTHERS IN TRANSIT, portrays mothers traveling afar for 8399 kilometers and seeking surrogacy in Ukraine to realize their dream of parenting. Putting together the “wind” and “view” of wandering life, Wind and View tells the story of a local grocery store. Floating Flowers traces the artistic career of choreographer Benson Tsai and the work with the same name that brought him to the international stage, to unfold a song of becoming of his dance company B.DANCE in ten years. THE MATSU SEA PILGRIMAGE-GODDESS OF THE SEA embodies the idea of “there’s ocean, there’s faith”, presenting the sea pilgrimage in the name the goddess, where the conservative small fishing village can also become frantic every four years on Matsu’s birthday. Come Home, My Child testifies the resiliency to overcome the high wall of adversity when facing great struggles in life.
