A good timing to invest in content industries?
In recent years, Taiwanese TV programs, dramas, and movies have not only been well received in the local market but have also successfully opened up the international market due to the listing of OTT platforms and sale of remake copyrights; and the key in establishing such a successful and replicable model lies in the integration of resources such as funds and talents. In this panel we invite investors of the creative content industry to share their perspectives on the development of Taiwan's creative content industry, their reasons to invest, and their next step.
Dr. Jiun Wei Lu is Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Taiwan Creative Content Agency TAICCA. Prior to assuming this post, he was a research fellow at the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, and served as an independent director at Mega Financial Holding Co., Ltd. and Taiwan Finance Corporation. He is Committee member of the National Financial Stabilization Fund. At TAICCA, Dr. Lu supervises the Content Lab, Department of Investment and Finance, and Department of Strategy and Research.
Graduated from the Middlesex University Business School, Lin is currently the Vice Chairman and the Managing Director of Taiwan Secom Co., Ltd, a major security services provider in Taiwan, since June 2017. Lin served as the CEO of the Sales Headquarters at Taiwan Secom from December 2015 to June 2017; the president of Taiwan Smart City Solutions Alliance (TSSA) from May 2019 to May 2021, promoting the development of Smart City and IoT in Taiwan; and as the Chairman of BABYBOSS CITY LTD. from March 2011 to July 2014, with expertise in children's experience economy (3-12 yrs old). Lin also served as the Director of Goldsun Co., Ltd., a ready-mix concrete provider and construction company, since November 2019, and was the Vice Chairman of Goldsun from June 2013 to August 2016.
Chai was deeply involved in the entertainment industry and talent cultivation for more than 30 years and is known as the "godmother of idol dramas". Her works have spread all over Asia, including idol drama "Meteor Garden" and movie "You Are the Apple of My Eye", etc. Chai is the co-recipient of the "Asian Star of 2003" by Bloomberg Businessweek, "Best Producer" of the Domestic TV series Ceremony in 2012, and one of the "Top 10 Highlights on both sides of the strait".

Combining both his sensitivity towards the industry market and concern for the society, his exemplary works often encompass both market value and emotions while reflecting on society phenomena.
