Taiwanese animation is rising.

This session focuses on animation production and adaptation. We invite Taiwanese key industry players to share their experience of producing animations, seeking international funding, international cooperation and the future businesss opportunities for Taiwanese animation.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Taiwan Creative Content Agency

Dr. Jiun Wei Lu is Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Taiwan Creative Content Agency TAICCA. Prior to assuming this post, he was a research fellow at the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, and served as an independent director at Mega Financial Holding Co., Ltd. and Taiwan Finance Corporation. He is Committee member of the National Financial Stabilization Fund. At TAICCA, Dr. Lu supervises the Content Lab, Department of Investment and Finance, and Department of Strategy and Research.

Producer, Bigcat Studio

WANG Wei-Xiu is the producer of Bigcat Studio. Wang participated in multiple Taiwanese original animations, including Taiwan’s first Netflix original animated series, "Brave Animated Series," the mini-series "Diego & Pea," and the animated short films "The Brainy Giant," "First Launch," and "Our Moon." Wang’s animated short films "Fart in Elevator," "Falling Moon," and "First Launch" were shortlisted for numerous domestic and international film festivals.

Chen Chung Chun
CEO, DNAXCAT Co., Ltd

DNA×CAT brand creator, honorary chairman / initiator of Taiwan Character Brand Licensing Association, and also the founder of IP BANK. DNA×CAT animation album is the only animation in Taiwan history to be broadcast on Japanese television for more than 200 weeks, and is currently preparing for the third season via the joint venture between Taiwan and Japan.

Person in charge/Director, Dottodot Ltd.

Chun-Chien LIEN has over 27 years of experience in motion mediums, and started developing original animated content in 2016. His short film "The Weather is Lovely" was selected in more than 30 international film festivals including 57th Golden Horse Awards, 43rd Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, and 2020 Fantasia Film Festival. "Who's Our Sub Today?" was selected in 2021 MIFA Pitches. Another short film "INSIDE" has won "Best Animation" in 2021 KDIAF international animation festival.
