An undercover tabloid reporter working at the mysterious longevity villa discovers that the tenants are immortal and the 1000-year-old tree deity saved by her Taiwan-born Japanese grandmother as a child.

A cynical journalist Yoni Lan starts to work for Longevity Villa, a nursing facility for wealthy tenants, with a plan to uncover its secrets.  She discovers that several “deceased” public figures, including a writer losing his Muse, a former air force pilot allegedly involved in a scandal and a popular actress losing her lover, have tried to leave their past behind and started their new lives here. Curiously, the physical condition of all tenants here is much better than people in their ages outside, just like time has frozen here.

Lan’s investigation reveals an unbelievable truth about the mystery: it’s the magic power of a 1000-year-old tree deity, which disguises itself as a dietician of the facility, that have kept these people extraordinarily energetic and healthy!

Lan has also realized that it’s not a mere coincidence for her to work for this facility; to her surprise, her nasty grandma was a childhood sweetheart of Wang Yongsheng, the founder of the facility. Everything that has happened here is related to Wang’s regret about the puppy love many years ago.
