Intending to rebuild a house for her family, Yi-an ends up making paper-made houses for the deceased. Every failure and death she encounters teach her to find wonders in adversities.
Yi-an fails her architect examination once again. What’s worse, the architect firm she works for is forced to close down due to a horrible fire. She has no choice but to return to her hometown in Taichung. Since Yi-an’s home collapsed during the 921 Earthquake, her brother chose to work as a construction worker to support the family. Since then, rebuilding a home for the whole family became Yi-an’s greatest wish.
Unemployed, Yi-an takes on the job to work at Jing-xuan’s Zhizha shop to help ease her brother’s financial burden. Jing-xuan is clumsy at making Zhizha, but he insists on knowing every memory and story of the deceased in order to blend those details into the works and make them unique and unforgettable. Over time, Yi-an discovers Jing-xuan is hiding a distressing memory that causes him to quit his prosecutor job and run this Zhizha shop after his aunt passed away.
Yi-an and Jing-xuan embark on the journey of making Zhizha because of their respective family condition. But their family and past unexpectedly become the main obstacle for them to continue. Will they be able to overcome the difficulties and regain their faith in themselves through this journey?
